Topics: "The flow of the Mirna river" and the "Ornithological Park"

Intended as a tourist and cultural event which highlights the artistic vision of photography. The meaning of the Latin word "ex-tempore" = at the moment. From this meaning the basis of the project were created. Each year at the end of September about eighty photographers from all over the world come to Novigrad, center of the event, and stay here for some days. Participants arrive on invitation or previous notice. We organize trips all around Istria. The departure is from Novigrad and photos are made on assigned topics.

It is possible to use the analog and digital photographic cameras.

Our partners in the organization, Fuji-Film and Hewlett-Packard, provide the film supply, film developing, digitalization, the possibility of working on computers and printing. After two days of shooting, the participants choose two of their best photos which will be printed during the third day, displayed on panels, reviewed by the jury, voted by the audience (vox populi) and through Internet voting.
During the evening the authors of the best photos will receive the award.

The themes of this year are:
- "The Flow of the Mirna River" / in addition to the shooting of the river includes the shooting of vegetation, forests of Motovun historically linked to the Mirna River.
- “Birds” / Ornithological park at the mouth of the Mirna river.

Wednesday, 15.09.2010 - in the morning - arrival of the participants, distribution of the numbers and of photographic material. Welcome at the headquarters of the Italian Community of Novigrad.
- In the evening / Conference of Mr. Elvis Zahtila – field of biology that deals with the theme of flora and fauna along the Mirna river.

This year’s edition provides the organization of 10 exhibitions of authors attending the event. The works will be exposed in the galleries on historic sites related to the Mirna river.

Thursday, 16.09.2010. - The whole day is dedicated to photography.
- 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. / Departure with off-road cars for the shooting along the upper flow of the Mirna river.
- 12:00 to 14:00 p.m. / lunch
- In the evening, after the shooting, dinner will be offered, where the participants will taste homemade delicacies and wines of local producers.

Friday, 17.09.2010 -
- In the morning / Departure for the shooting along the lower part of the Mirna river and the ornithological park at the mouth of the river.
- Lunch and dinner / as the day before.
In the evening elaboration of the photos selected for the exhibition and final delivery for their enlargement.

Saturday, 18.09.2010
- In the morning / class - Laboratory / Shooting of "documents" (on the beach - with models) lead by Ivan Balic - Cobra.
- 14.00 to 17.00 p.m. - Presentation of the sponsors: FujiFilm and Hewlett Packard - DIT.
- 17.00 p.m. / Opening of the exhibition of photographs taken during the FOTO Ex tempore
      - Vote of the jury, the public (Vox populi) and the vote by Internet.
      - 20.00 p.m. / Awarding of prizes for the best photographs.

The concluding dinner for participants and sponsors will take place at the Restaurant "Luciana" in Nova Vas - Villanova (5 km from Novigrad).
